Gap connectors

The gap connector, or 'gap sub' as it is often referred to, is part of a tool used for Electromagnetic Telemetry (EMT). Since these EMT systems provide essential data communications between the surface and the downhole operations, the component parts - such as the sub, rings and sleeves - require electrical resistivity.

Bodycote's ceramic coating, Tech28E, and polymer coating, Tech100, provide vital properties such as the necessary electrical resistivity as well as corrosion and wear resistance at high torque values.
